École Hexagone takes part in the DefHack 2024 challenge
Under the aegis of COMCYBER (Ministry of the Armed Forces), DefHack is enabling almost 400 students from 16 schools to take part in a challenge simulating cyber warfare. One of the aims is to enable participating students to explore cyber defence missions in teams. And it is more specifically the Centre cyber de préparation opérationnelle (C2PO), in collaboration with operational cyber defence reservists, who are designing the scenarios and technical activities for the DefHack exercise. As part of DefHack, the scenarios created will focus mainly on the defence of Information Systems.
On Monday 7 October, students from the Mastère Cyberdéfense in Versailles will kick off the inter-school challenge. Then on Friday 18 October it will be the Clermont-Ferrand students from the same Master's programme who will be working as a team to successfully complete as many scenarios as possible.
This competition is great training for students, who can benefit from advice from cyber defence experts and find out about the different cyber professions within the French Armed Forces.
