In January 2023, a delegation from Hexagone visited Kazakhstan to develop academic relations with local institutions, within the framework of the Franco-Kazakh strategic partnership.

During this bilateral meeting, the representatives of Astana IT University first presented their institution, its values and ambitions. Its Rector, Mr Serik OMIRBAYEV, recalled that until now there was no cooperation agreement between Astana IT University and a French institution.

The two delegations agreed to sign a partnership agreement in the next few weeks concerning the creation of a Franco-Kazakh diploma and exchanges of professors and students. This academic cooperation is part of a common desire to create cultural and industrial bridges between Kazakhstan and France.

President of École Hexagone, Mr Sébastien DHÉRINES, concluded the exchanges by saluting the role of her Excellence Gulsara ARYSTANKULOVA, Ambassador of Kazakhstan in France, who made this high-level meeting possible.

The discussions continued during a private tour of the Astana IT University facilities. École Hexagone has undertaken to provide books written in French to the university’s scientific library, in particular the work of Mr Jean-Baptiste DEMAY (Class of 2022) “Technology is a fashion”.
